Here’s the eligibility criteria for the UGC NET Environmental Science exam:
Educational Qualification:
You must possess a Master’s degree or a qualification equivalent to a Master’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field from a recognized university/institution.
Minimum Marks:
General category candidates: 55% aggregate marks in your Master’s degree.
SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/Persons with Disability (PWD) category candidates: 50% aggregate marks in your Master’s degree.
Age Limit:
There’s no upper age limit for applying for Assistant Professor posts through UGC NET.
However, if you’re aiming for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) through UGC NET, there is an age limit of 30 years. Age relaxation is available for SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/Persons with Disability (PWD) category candidates as per the official UGC NET notification.
Other Eligibility Criteria:
Nationality: Indian citizens, Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders, and foreign nationals are eligible to apply, subject to fulfilling the educational qualifications and other eligibility conditions set by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
