The UGC NET exam consists of 150 questions in total, divided between two papers:
Paper 1: This is a general paper common for all candidates, containing 50 questions. It covers topics like Teaching Aptitude, Research Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, Comprehension, Communication, Divergent Thinking, and General Awareness.
Paper 2: This is a subject-specific paper based on the chosen subject you’re applying for, containing 100 questions.
Each question carries 2 marks, and there’s no negative marking. So, the maximum marks you can score in the UGC NET exam are 300.
