CUET PG [Post Graduation] Exam 2023! Exam Dates, Syllabus, Exam Pattern, Eligibility Criteria, Participated Universities [Complete Details]
Common University Entrance Test (CUET) PG 2023: is being introduced for admission into UG/ PG programmes in Central and participating Universities for the academic session 2023. The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) will provide a common platform and equal opportunities to candidates across the country, especially those from North-East and from rural and other remote areas and help to establish a better connection with the Universities. A single Examination will enable the Candidates to cover a wide outreach and be part of the admissions process to various Central Universities.
The CUET (PG) – 2023 will be conducted in CBT mode in 02 shifts for admissions in the next academic session.

Note:
- An applicant can make payment through net banking/debit/credit card/UPI/Wallet.
- GST and other taxes as applicable by Govt. of India/ Bank to be paid by the candidate.
- Applicants are advised to read Payment instructions carefully before paying the application fee.
Important Instruction
- An applicant can apply for three (03) Test Papers by paying the application fee as mentioned above.
- An applicant can further apply for additional Test Papers by paying additional application fees of Rs. 200/- (General applicants) or Rs. 150/- (OBC-NCL/Gen-EWS/SC/ST/Third Gender/PwBD Applicants) per Test Paper for PG Programmes.
- Candidates opting for Test Centres outside India will have to pay the application fee of Rs. 4000/- irrespective of the category they belong to for up to three Test Papers.
- Further, for applying for additional Test Papers a fee of Rs. 1000/- per additional paper has to be paid.
- The candidate has to choose English or Hindi language for Section A only.

CUET 2023 Exam Pattern
CUCET Exam Pattern details are mentioned here:
- Type of Question: Only Multiple Choice Questions will be asked in the examination.
- Parts: The exam will be conducted in two parts, i.e. Part A and Part B.
- Part-A: This section contained topics from the English language, general awareness, mathematical aptitude, and analytical skills.
- Part-B: This part will be divided into three sections and consisted of a total of 75 MCQs from Your Subject.
- Duration: The exam duration will be 2 hours.
- Exam Mode: The exam will be organized through online mode.
- Marking Scheme: Three marks will be given for each correct answer.
- Negative Marking: One mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
- Pattern: The exam will be conducted in the OMR pattern.

Registration & Application Filling Process –
The Registration & Application Process is Very easy & Instant. Candidates can apply for a maximum of three participating universities while filling out the CUET application form. Those candidates who will make the payment through SBI Challan will get the confirmation of the payment within seven days.
Steps to fill CUET Application Form
Step 1 – Registration
- Visit the official website-cucet.nta.nic.in
- Click on the ‘Register for CUCET ’ tab.
- Candidates now need to click on the ‘Click here for New Registration’ tab.
- Enter the details such as name of the candidate, email ID, date of birth and mobile number in the registration form.
- Enter the captcha code and click on the “Save and Proceed” tab.
- The applicants will receive a registration ID and a password on their registered mobile number and email ID
Step 2 – Filling up the Application Form
- Now, the candidates have to log in using the received credentials and start filling out the application form.
- The candidates have to fill in the personal, academic and contact details in the application form.

Step 3 – Programme and Exam Centre Selection
- Candidates are required to choose the test centre of his/ her choice. No candidates can change their test centre after the application submission is over.
- Select the universities and programmes for the entrance test. Candidates can apply for a maximum of three programmes.
Step 4 – Uploading Documents
- Candidates have to upload a scanned image of their recent coloured passport size photograph and a signature in the prescribed format given below.

Step 5 – Preview Application Form
- After uploading the documents, the candidates must check all the details filled in the application form.
- Candidates are advised to check all the details before going ahead with the fee payment. In case if they want to make any changes in the filled application form, they can make the corrections.
Step 6 – Paying Application Fee
- Enter the amount to be paid as an application fee by the candidates.
- Candidates are required to choose the mode of payment from the given options.
- Click on the ‘Pay Now’ option.
- Make the payment through credit card, net banking, debit card or UPI.
- Click on the “Submit” option after the fee payment.

CUET Application Form – Key Points
- The passport size coloured photograph uploaded in the CUET application form must be recent.
- The photograph taken by candidates must be against a light-coloured or white background and must be front faced and not angular.
- Candidates are advised to go through the eligibility criteria before filling out the CUET application form.
- Candidates must provide a valid email ID and an active phone number at the time of filling out the application form.
- Candidates must put their signature on a plain white sheet with a black ink pen.
- If the documents uploaded by the candidates are not correct, the candidate’s application might get cancelled.
- For International candidates, the application fee for CUET exam is Rs 3500.
- The CUCET application fee can be paid by debit card, credit card, net banking or UPI.
