UGC NET 2021 New Exam Date Notification Released : Due to the postponement of December 2020 UGC-NET in view of COVID-19, the schedule of June 2021 UGCNET has been delayed. In order to regularize the UGC-NET examination cycles, the National Testing Agency (NTA), with the Conclusion of UGC, has merged both UGC-NET of December 2020 and June 2021 cycles so that they be conducted together in CBT mode. The Application process is therefore being reopened for the new applicants to fill in and submit their forms.
The candidates who have registered for UGC-NET of December 2020 cycle but have not been able to complete the application process, can also complete and submit the application form online on the website https://ugcnet.nta.nic.in, www.nta.ac.in during the period specified below. Below are some Important Dates for the NTA UGC NET 2021 Exam:

The examination for UGC NET December 2020 cycle and UGC NET June 2021 cycle has been scheduled for 06th October to 11th October 2021. The exam will be held in two shifts- 9 AM to 12 PM and 3 PM to 6PM. Other important dates for UGC NET 2021 June exam are as follows:

UGC NET 2021 Selection Procedure
Candidates qualifying the entrance test of UGC NET 2021, will be selected in the subject wise and category wise merit list published online. Top 6% of total students who have appeared for both the papers in the test will be considered qualified in the entrance test.
Admission into various Indian Universities or Institutions for the position of Assistant professor or JRF will be offered on the basis of cut off score secured as per their categories. Top 15% candidates from each category and subject will be selected and declared eligible for Assistant Professor Position only.

Note:
- A relaxation upto 5 years is provided to the candidates belonging to OBC, SC/ ST/ PwD/ Transgender categories and to women applicants.
- Relaxation will also be provided to the candidates having research experience, limited to the period spent on research in the relevant/related subject of post-graduation degree, subject to a maximum of 5 years, on production of a certificate from appropriate authority.
- Three years relaxation in age will be permissible to the candidates possessing L.L.M. Degree. A relaxation of upto 5 years is provided to the candidates who have served in the armed forces subject to the length of service in the armed forces upto the first day of the month in which the concerned UGC-NET is to be held.
- Total age relaxation on the above ground(s) shall not exceed five years under any circumstances.
